About Ailyxian
The Ailyxians were originally a Thaidrian tribe living in the southern parts of Thaidria characterised by their tending of sheep (the word Ailykseior is most likely derived from an old word meaning shepherd) as opposed to the northern Koziri who favoured swine. In the late centuries before the rise of the Prophet, the Ailyxians rose from their humble beginnings to become the kingdom, then imperium, who came the closest to conquer most of Thaidria and the Crown Isles.

[edit] [view] Ailykseia Essermar ( Ailyxian)Essan Ailyxian was the dialect spoken on the island of Essa, and was one of the few local dialects to still be officially in use by the time of the League, which used standard Ailyxian as their official language. Essan Ailyxian would most likely have gone the same way if not for the fact that King Lirden of Essa invaded the lands of Sakeiphas and made his dialect the official language throughout the budding Lirdenian empire. This is the parent language of Vaizonese, Ecrabetian and Chetau.
