About Nûvek
Nûvek is my little experiment with grammar. It is supposed to be very naturalistic, but as the language grows I don't really know what will happen. Being fun and interesting to me is more important than being 100 % naturalistic.
Its main feature is its split-S morphosyntactic alignment. Transitive verbs agree either with the subject, called active agreement, or the object, called stative agreement. Stative agreement is the default but active agreement can be used a bit like an antipassive. For intransitive verbs the type of agreement is almost always lexically fixed. An intransitive verb is active, i.e. take active agreement, if its subject typically has high volition, and the verb is dynamic.
Adjectives are best thought of as a special class of stative intransitive verbs with a few special properties such as not having to use a relativiser to be in a relative clause.
It's almost exclusively head-final and strongly head-marking.
There are also way too many diacritics, but I kinda like the look for some reason.
