About Modern Halel
Gila is a daughter language of 'alil, with a simple collapsed gender system (animate, familiar (but not animate), neuter), small phonology, and rich vocabulary with many nuances. It takes most of its vocabulary from a modified version of 'alil words, but many words found themselves with two or more derivations.
It features (C)V(C) phonology, and vowel harmony between high and low vowels, with "e" and "o" being neutral.
Gila also makes use of contractions, creating a feeling of being a polysynthetic language, but it is synthetic. Gila inherits VSO word order, but develops a more complex set of tenses, more utilizing irrealis moods than 'alil, which has only perfect, imperfect, and imperative conjugations.
