About Ayulean
Ayulean (/əˈjuliˌən/, known natively as 'dis Ajuli') is the language spoken in the micro "nation" of Ayuli. It is decended from
Badaga, a language originally created as a joke by Gagaba, the founder of the Badaga nation, and partially influenced by Daga, the co-founder.
The modern Ayulean was born after Gagaba wanted to take the language more seriously. Most Badaga words were turned into words that are (loosely) based on the original word, and new words were derived from these words. For example, the Badaga word Bababa (animal) became Baba. Turning the initial B into a nasal makes it Maba, which means 'aquatic animal'. By changing the final A into U, the word becomes Mabu, meaning 'squid'.
