Language type Proto-Conlang
Species Human/humanoid
About Old Yokulta Reconstructed older stage of  Niryokulta,  Ngumyokulta and  Vushyokulta spoken cca 1000 to 2000 years bacc. Could be considered proto-language, but who knows.

Breathy voiced vowels are so called "aspiration triggering phonemes", that is, consonants preceding the vowel in daughter langs are going to be aspirated. The second way of triggering aspiration in daughter languages is /h/ preceeding or following the consonant.

Since only two Yokultan languages are documented, reconstructing an older stage of them was quite difficult, even though the two are sister languages. Originally, it was supposed that Old Yokulta language had aspirated vowels, but after some research, "aspiration triggering phonemes" were presented. Reconstructing a proto-language is impossible because it is supposed that the family had more branches, that however went extinct earlier than linguists could get aware of them.
