About Ushnagos Ushnagos (literally meaning "our language") is spoken by around 200 million people in the tropical island nation of Pernagos.
It, along with English, is used as an offical language and lingua franca among the diverse ethnic groups in the nation.
Ushnagos is a language isolate with no relation to any language near it. Relatively unknown until 500 years ago, it mysteriously resurged as the language of government & religon and surplanted itself as the dominate language of the Pernagoese.

Interesting features:
Vowels: Ushnagos has 6 vowels which come in pairs. Each pair has a "strong" vowel and a "weak" vowel and are classed by the name of the strong vowel. These pairs are /a/ & /ə/, /i/ & /e/, and /u/ & /o/. They are used as a psudo-vowel harmony when conjugating verbs.

Pronouns galore: Ushnagos has 50 unique pronouns! While you have your standard 1/2/3 person & single/plural distinctions, you also have an inclusive/exclusive we and a 2 & 3 person distinction. Pronouns are also subdivided into causal and formal forms as well as a past/present/future distinction (e.g. "you are" and "you were" would used different pronouns).

Sudanese kinship system: Ushnagos used the Sudanese kinship system, meaning that unique familial distinctions will be given different terms (e.g. maternal-grandfather vs paternal-grandfather are different terms).

Verbs: Verbs are agglutinative with the maximum structure of VERB-SUBJECT-MOOD-NEGATION (e.g. Khemditeme - meaning "I may not have (it)" is broken down as khem-di-te-me, or have-I-may-no).

Stress: Ushnagos is antepenultimate on the 3rd to last syllable with an ultimate secondary stress. The vowel of the penultimate syllable is read extra short unless the word is less than 3 syllables long. There are no exceptions to this pattern and adding suffixes to a word will shift that stress pattern rightward (e.g. "Esketa" (coin) is [ˈes.keˑ.ˌta] but "Esketafalid" (above the coin) is [es.ke.ˈta.ɸaˑ.ˌlid]).
