About Cinian
Cinian, or Alpo-Cinian, is a hypothetical Romance language spoken in and around the southern Alps, as well as the Provençal coast. Its orthography, while normally very regular, still favours some etymological spellings. Classified as a Gallo-Romance language, it has also had extensive influence from Italian. Some notable features include the palatalisation of /t d/ as well as just /k g/ to /ʃ z s ʒ/, a system of unstressed vowel reduction and the development of a partitive case and hortative mood from the Latin ablative and subjunctive respectively.
