About Ruthan Ruthan is spoken by about 36 million people that live in the Ayeihan Desert Nations (ADN). It is the primary and most widely spoken language both cross-culturally and geographically in the ADN region. Ruthan is the most common language used in ADN for education, business and trade, official publications, signage, and media. It is listed as an official language for 4 out of 6 of ADN. They are Awan, Shimeru, Negi, and Kanotho. It is a recognised language in Hithwi. Goxim currently has no official or recognised languages, but is in discussion about making Ruthan their official language.

The basis of the grammar is a cross between particle and affix based (similar to Japanese and Korean), but also 'flexible English' meaning certain aspects of English grammar are the base, but Ruthan grammar is not rigid. Ruthan is a somewhat emotional language where word order is not set but placing words in different orders can convey a different tone or meaning.

[edit] [view] Ruthasa (Simplified Ruthan)Simplified Ruthan is Ruthan with a 'simplified' phonetic inventory, meaning that the phonetics more closely resemble those of languages outside of the ADN. Created by the ADN alliance to increase literacy amongst immigrants and facilitate trade deals with non-ADN countries. Other changes include a more regular syntax/word order and special orthographic characters for loan words.
