About Proto-Hèkon The language is spoken in my worldbuilded world on a steppe. It’s spoken by huntergatherers in mostly summerdry continental climate, but there are also small patches of cold oceanic, always wet continental and tundra.
The population density is 8 - 15 people per 100 km2. Or. 0.5 - 1.5 bands per 100 km2.
One band is 10 - 15 persons. When two bands meet each other, they will exchange young men, an early form of marriage.
The culture is matriarchal. The oldest woman is the matriarch. Her fuction is mostly religious. The religion is a fertility cult. There is a belief in a fertility godess, often called “big mother”, “holy mother”, “good mother” or “earth’s mother”.
Outside religion, the culture is egalitarian.
