About Thiyntawese
The literary language isolate of a fictional Prester John kingdom in China used by Viking-esque people. Homeland Amur river, strong Dene-Yeniseian/Paleo-Siberian substrate and connection to Jie people. Sino-Xenic borrowing during Tang dynasty vassalage and Han-era Buddhism. More borrowing from subsequent Khitan and Jurchen domination. Significant substrate from Classical Syriac when conversion to Christianity (Prester John legends). In modern era continued use by both branches of Thiyntawese, both Amur river variant affected by Manchu domination and Island variant unaffected. Neologisms from Latin and Greek church and modern use have appeared in literary vocabulary.
