About T'eaj T'eaj is an orally supported sign language. Its spoken words are largely derived from  Azra and uses Azra's writing system. They have their own writing system for writing signs.

T'eaj is spoken by the males of a trimorphic species. Due to physiological differences between the sexes, the males aren't able to pronounce all the sounds in Azra (a power play by the matriarchal females that developed Azra). Their vocal range and the other sexes' hearing ranges contributed to them developing a primarily signed language, instead of just a dialect of Azra. In local races, the males' speaking range extends below the bearers' (third sex) hearing range, meaning many males' natural speaking voice won't consistently be able to be heard by bearers and comfortably be used to communicate with them. It also provided a way to talk without being overheard by females, who can hear more of the males' range.
They speak with an accent/dialect of Azra, such as if their hands are occupied or there isn't a line of sight with the person they're speaking to, but particularly when speaking with bearers, it's not preferred as it may require speaking higher than comfortable for extended periods, rather than the individual supportive words spoken when signing. They may be more likely to talk verbally with other males who can hear each other easily.

[view] T'eaj Kala (Silent T'eaj)While normal T'eaj is an orally supported signlang, Silent T'eaj is a variant that's entirely signed, for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Unlike T'eaj, which is almost exclusively spoken by males, Silent T'eaj is spoken by all sexes when needed.
It's also one of the 2 official languages, alongside Azra, that is spoken at all audio-visual government announcements, such as in-person and televised speeches. It's understood by virtually everyone who understands T'eaj.
