About Televek
Televek is the constructed language of the Televek race, which inhabits the country of Televea. It belongs to the Central-Continental language family, and is spoken by 23 million native speakers, or a total of around 30 million speakers plus L2. It is a priori language, and takes some influence in sound, grammar, and function from English, Spanish, Hungarian, and Czech, but has a completely new vocabulary.
It has both fusional and agglutinative properties, and has a very high degree of inflection. It contains 8 standard cases, a 9th proper case, and 4 additional minor cases for a total of 13 grammar cases. It has 6 genders, Masculine, Feminine, and Neutral, each split for Animacy and Inanimacy. It also has 4 distinct numbers (singular, 2-4, 5-10, and above 10). Each gender and number (with some exceptions) has their own unique declension patterns. Each gender has 3-4 possible patterns of declination per case. It is the most sophisticated language in it's Conworld, and one of the most complex in the world.

[edit] [view] Common Televek (Common/Country Televek)While standard Televek is the most common variation spoken, Common Televek is a somewhat easier, less-regulated variation of the language. It uses only the first 8 grammatical cases, leaving out Comitative, Essive, Inessive, Ablative, and Allative Cases. It is also less common to hear the use of the Neutral-Animate gender (merged with standard Neutral) or paucal numbers (10+) in declension. There are a few regional differences in pronunciation and spelling, but root meanings remain.
