About Uutama
One of the two? Northern Mountain Ngerupic languages.
Very conservative both phonologically (vowels stayed mostly the same) and grammatically (preserved all the possessive suffixes), but has also innovated new noun classes and has a three-way phonation system. Tone system mostly lost in favor of stress/length on vowels in a Yavodna-esque way.
Not many speakers. They live in a rural, remote, mountainous area. However, this is the best-described Northern Mountain Ngerupic language linguistically.
