About Varyan
Varyan is the language of the sea-faring people of Varya, the people are comparable to a pirate version of the Dothraki from A Song of Ice and Fire, but a little more civilized. The vocabulary is sort of a priori, but I tend to look at languages like Turkish, Basque, and Hungarian for inspiration. When I started this language it was just so I could do some fun things that I haven't done with any of my languages before. I played with the romanization, and I'm experimenting with word-order and agglutination which I haven't done before. So far it's a very fun language to use and to translate things for, and the Varyan people are very interesting and fun to write about.
