About Ovratian
Ovratian is the language spoken in an alternate world, primarily a city called Voy-Ovrat which is below freezing year-round. Ovratians (the people who live there) don't freeze and consider themselves to have come from the ice. Heat can be used to power magic; running out of heat has no effect and is considered to be more comfortable and healthy, while having too much heat runs the risk of "thawing".
New at the whole pronunciation thing; I know my phonology/orthography is incomplete. Focusing on grammar and vocabulary first.
Included in my translations are broken-English transliterations of how Noras would say the sentence to James.
