About Virj
I have restarted Virj - a long time coming! I'm leaving the old lang up for perusal, but feel free to take a look at the new-and-improved
Virju.----------
Virj is a creole descended from remnants of various human languages and the purely-digital highly-logical communication system used by the robotic race that overtook Halonia (a mining colony planet).
As my very first conlang, which I started developing when I was ~10 years old, Virj has a number of improbable features for a naturalistic language. But we can just pretend that's 'cause of the robots, right?

Language family relationships
[view] About IsolatesThis is a family for isolate languages.
[edit] [view] Aane (Aane)Aane has retained phonemic length distinction lost in most other dialects of Virž, and also has a decent amount of unique vocabulary. It is a lower-class dialect used in rural Viržura.
[edit] [view] Epasofa (Basøf)An extinct dialect in a former territory of Viržura which has been eclipsed in use by neighbouring languages such as Bircena. Well-documented in historical texts, it was merging into a Virj-Bircena creole before its extinction.
[edit] [view] Ciôrê (Ciore)Ciore is the most common spoken dialect, common in lower class urban speakers. It used to be the basis for the spelling standard, which was very strict and not particularly efficient, but is being replaced by Ideran as the most commonly written dialect.
[edit] [view] Iðera (Idera)Idera is spoken in the capital of Viržura and is one of the more presitigious dialects. Its phonology is the basis for the new spelling standard.
[edit] [view] Innw (Innu)A dialect very closely related to Idera and spoken in the rural areas surrounding the capital. It is fairly low-prestige and has some... interesting orthographical choices.
