About lankinish
Lankinish is a language spoken by the Lankins, a species of wolf-people. The language uses a semanto-phonetic writing system similar to Chinese. Lankinish, however, is not a tonal language, and some characters have multiple syllables in their pronunciation.
The Worlags inhabit their own planet in an alternate universe (see my first article for background information on their origin).
The Lankins don't speak like the way wolves would be expected to speak (i.e. with growls and barks). Usually they only growl when they're angry, but because they originated from the human species, their language may seem close to something that a human would speak. The anatomy of their mouths was also modified from the structure of those from actual wolves in order for them to pronounce the language of The Empire. Some Lankins, though, tried to be more wolf-like by strictly adhering to the anatomy of a real wolf's mouth, leading to the formation of separate dialects and languages.

Hero? No! We're pirates! I love heroes, but I don't wanna be one! Do you know what heroes are? Say there is a chunk of meat. Pirates will have a banquet and eat it, but heroes will share it with other people. I want all the meat![view all texts]
