About Second
Woth Ūl is a generally isolating language. It is SOV and Modified-Modifier. It has five pronouns (1S, 1P, 2nd General, and 3rd human/nonhuman). It has no noun cases or classes. Nouns have articles which inflect for Definite/Indefinite and Singular/Plural/All/None numbers. Verbs have particles that show tense and some moods (Past, Nonpast, Conditional) which inflect for some aspects (Inceptive and Perfective; simple implies progressive). These three particles always go directly after the verb they modify. However, the gnomic goes before the verb and the imperative goes before the noun it commands. Numbers defy the Modified-Modifier order, however; the name Woth Ūl literally translates to "Ordinal Two", because the speakers view the natural sounds of the forest (wind and birds, etc) as the "First" form of communication. Human language is "Second".
