About Zesipian zeṣipēn « zeṣipēn » ("Zesipian") is the official language of the Zesipian Empire. While it is the native language of the Zesipians, who hold power across the Empire, it has become the common language spoken by most citizens regardless of their ethnicity.

The language evolved from Proto-Zesipian, a spoken language used by the Zesipians during their during peripatetic period. As they transitioned into a sedentary culture, the inevitable formation of government, codification of laws, and commercial bureaucracy led to the formalization and the establishment of a writing system. Zesipian evolved to become the language that exists today.

Proto-Zesipian traces its roots to two family trees, owing to the linage of the two species, human and elven, of the ethnicity. Humans, who evolved in Freyspian Peninsula, brought language from Proto-Freysipian, a parent language that also claims  Irgoshen and Hvastan as its descendents. Elves, whose ancestors are the Ancient Eyrira, are thought to have brought words from their ancient language to Zesipian. There is a similarity to parts of the language with Modern Eyrira, a language that evolved exclusively on the continent of Stomholna after the separation of the former Lauri supercontent, that are unlikely coincidental.
