About Sevari
Sevari (Zvara) is another of my languages. I tend to design complex phonologies and grammars that I ponder over for ages and never actually finalise or develop a lexicon for, and Sevari is designed with this in mind. The inventory is on the small side and the phonology relatively straightforward. The grammar is 'simplified' (for lack of a better word) in that it is analytical and predominantly non-marking. I'm hoping this encourages me to focus on developing the lexicon a little more!
Sevari has a look that brings to mind the Balto-Slavic or Indo-Iranian languages, due to the presence of complex initial consonant clusters such as <vr>, <vl>, <dv>, etc, and the North Germanic languages, due to the <ð> grapheme and the use of <j> for /j/. However, grammatically, the language function more like a Sinitic language as a result of its fusional features being long since eroded.
Sevari is spoken in a hitherto unnamed region of the Zekharian Empire, the dominant language of which, Zekharian, is closely related to Sevari. The capital of the Sevari-speaking region is Vjasa.
