pronoun [GE] Gender Exempt[GI] Gender Inflected[P] Pronoun naʊŋ nowng
[naʊŋ]
you
(unspecified number, see notes)
 Mighty Source Language: old chinese
Etymology
Etymology of Creation: Found a paper: Mayan: A Sino-Tibetan Language? A Comparative Study by Bede Fahey. It argues what it looks like it argues so I went looking for what I could find for you in either. Found 戎 /*nuŋ/ (B-S); /*njuŋ/ (ZS) ("you"). Looking at the paper, where such sound combinations happened, there was a lowering and elongation of the vowel, a drop of the j, but final ŋ seemed to stay. So I changed nju to naʊ, following those rules. The character 戎 seems to represent arms, armaments which fits with how I think the Mighty would see themselves, as equipped with bodies, so I felt that worked quite well.
Notes
naʊŋ is the second person singular pronoun for another Mighty (or approved companion - this is tricky, so will be discussed later). It can also be the second person small group pronoun.

While it is technically gender inflected, all genders mean the same thing, so in informal conversation it can be changed to the gender that makes it easiest to pronounce.

For polite conversation the gender should match the person being addressed. For a small group, it is properly the gender of the highest social status individual being addressed.

The exception is the other gendered ˧˩naʊŋ, this is an improper form in all cases. It can be an aggressive slang, such as the you in "fuck you," but that is still considered improper usage, it would mark someone as poorly spoken.

Acceptable non-Mighty to be referred to with the Mighty pronoun depends very heavily on the speaker. Mighty tend to be racist but then make exceptions for people they like. At its most proper, naʊŋ refers ONLY to other Mighty. A step down is to Mighty and anyone that can be defined in some way as the speaker's superior. A step below that is anyone the speaker likes enough to consider a companion. Using naʊŋ more commonly than that would mark the speaker as some kind of weirdo. Either a xenophile or a weakling.
