Etymology
The phrase Rahui is often used in a modern sense to refer to the Bay, however, it’s traditional meaning is “all the waters,” (although, it bears quite a resemblance to rahu, which means “a shiver,” and could very well mean “all the shiverings” or “all the undulations,” revering to the waves.) Historically, rahui has been the designation for the sea or the ocean, which Hehuine people’s perceived to be one giant body of water as opposed to distinct bodies around the globe. Words translated “ocean” or “sea” are rendered Rahui in Nea Rahua. Sample of this word
Tio rahuith sen.
"You live near the Bay."
