noun [lsg] lesser gender gedėrısr
[gɛdørisɹ̯]*
city
(settlement)
 Focalese
Notes
Derived from Middle Focalese gedėr, "fish" - the earliest settlements the Focalese had were areas where fishing was possible (e.g. rivers, lakes, the ocean). Another etymology suggests it was created from the phrase "place of many people," but there is little evidence to support this outside the word dėr ("person") being borrowed from Middle Astarothean durr, "man".
