bleed

bleed
Notes
Metaphorical extension of the meaning "bleed"; when in OTL we developed nuclear energy and the like, MG focused instead on minute bio-engineering (think organic prosthetics and weaponry). Back then it was not without its pitfalls, one such being that without careful attention and precision the bio-engineered product could literally bleed out and fail. Even after electronic technology came to be favored over bio-engineering, the original terminology carried over through the power of metaphor.
