oka
[ˈoka]
see (visually)
[ˈoka]
see (visually)
Notes
Used reflexively, it means "to look" as in German "aussehen." "I look good." = "Yo oka me ban."
You basically use this reflexive to mean "to seem" as well. If you want to emphasize that you're the one doing the perceiving (such as "I think that's weird." vs. "That seems weird."), you can either use the word for "to find," (haven't coined it yet), or use this constructions (more informal)
Jo oka te, ke (to sort [maybe subj]) felis.
"I see you, that you're happy."
"You seem happy."
"Okar to me, ke (jo) ve (subj) me?"
"Do you see me, that I'm leaving?"
"Do you think I'm leaving/would leave?"
