Not all words in Ehenív are like this. Most nouns and verbs are not at all the same word and don't need -va (-va) should they appear in the same sentence. This is only for the rare few.
-va (-va) is literally the word 'the', but is placed where one would normally put the plural -s in English.
Example:
Ísk žo véstova, va véstopríλ žo vésto.
Ísk zho véstova, va véstopríl zho vésto.
The singer sings a song.
Of course, when va (va as in the) is used as a definite article, you don't use this suffix. Instead, you leave the noun as is.
Example:
Va žo vésto, va véstopríλ žo vésto.
Va zho vésto, va véstopríl zho vésto.
The singer sings the song.
It is also not used if the verb-noun appears only once in the sentence. The verb-noun remains as is. This is because you don't need to distinguish between the two; the determiner (that) already tells you this form of the verb is a noun.
Example:
Vés, piki žo vésto aš.
Vés, piki zho vésto ash.
That song is pretty.
