Grotterran is a Latin-based creole spoken as the principal language in Grotterra, a now independent North American colony formerly held jointly by France, the Netherlands, Sweden, and various German states. Substrate languages include French, Dutch, German (mostly Low German), English, Ancient Greek, and the Iroquoian languages.
