About Hiberio  Hiberio is my way to try something beyond Germanic languages. This time, I aim for a Semitic - or perhaps something more Afroasiatic - which has developed into something sounding like present-day Spanish. Of course, I tell to myself that it's the way to reawaken my interest to Arabic and Akkadian, maybe finally learn some Egyptian... the usual lies I tell to myself every time.

As expected, it is spoken on the Iberian Peninsula in the same conworld as  Vandalon and  Fou Tong. Not much of a stretch, given the history of Semitic languages' presence there - and compare this to Germanic  Fou Tong that found its way to Asia Pacific! A strong influence of Germanic languages due to conquests by Germanic people (what else would you expect from me?) so Henriques and Fernandos are legit names, but Germanic roots are mercilessly adapted to follow the three-consonant schema.

No idea what I'm doing here - well, in worst case it's just gets deleted, like it happened with Old Vandalon.

P.S. Almost forgotten: Hiberio comes from (h)apiru, the name of semi-nomadic herder-raiders that took over a large part of Eastern Mediterranean onwards from several decades before the Bronze Age Collapse. They are the primary concern of Rib-Hadda, the most famous among the authors in Amarna-Archive of Echnaton.

UPD 1. The phonology is specifically Castilian - all because of θ-sounds in it. Historically, this is the dialect spoken in La Quilla (Castilia) region of the peninusla.

UPD 2. Hey, it's progressing much better than expected!
