About Humbrish
Despite its lower level of mutual intelligability between Ænglish and Hymbrisk, the latter is by many considered a dialect of the former, and as such is largely marginalised. Due to the occupation of the North of Ængland by the Norwegians for several hundred years, and continuing closeness with Scandinavia in the following centuries, many features deriving from Old Norse and the modern Scandinavian languages entered the language. This can also be seen in its modern orthography.
