About Kurenki
Kurenki is the first conlang I put a lot of effort in. It was sometimes between 2010 and 2011 and it changed a lot since then, but the core has remained the same through all these years. It's also the one I'm emotionally bond the most, and the one that reflects the way my brain thinks, so it's not exactly an artlang but more like a private tongue I thought I'd be using in my diaries - but heh, it turned out there were imaginary people in my mind claiming to speak it in everyday life. Thus it has an in-world history too.
Kurenki belongs to the first branch of proto-Musamei that diverged from its mother tongue. It's spoken by semi-nomadic hunter-gatherers, but in recent times a literate bourgeoisie has emerged in the two main cities of the country (a dependency of the second Muscovian empire). It's highly agglutinative, maybe somewhat polysynthetic?, and contrasts short vs. long vowels. The Nentamei who speak the tongue believe it was the language of the mānyinamei, the fallen angels from whom they descended after the Time of Heroes. It's not true, though this myth echoes memories of how man arrived on the planet tens of thousands of years ago and lost all civilization, and combines them with the history of the Mūsamei, i.e. the people who spoke the last common ancestor of Kurenki, Muscovian and a bunch of other languages.
But it's primarily the reproduction of how my thoughts flow, so don't expect many irregularities.
