About Tesh
A north Germanic language, closely related to Swedish (more so to old Swedish). Speakers live on a small, fictional group of islands north of Poland.
Distinguishing characteristics from most NG languages:
-retraction of [s] to [ʃ]
-[θ] and [ð] as distinct phonemes preserved as the sibilants [tʃ] and [s], respectively
-retention of accusative and dative cases in nouns
-retention of three-way gender distinction
-Polish influence over the vocabulary
