About Unkish Unkish is a Germanic conlang and mainly based on what has been reconstructed as Proto-Germanic by several linguists.

This conlang is intended to have a precise vocabulary and to be intuitive/original in how words are formed. The most notable feature of Unkish is its strong reliance on umlauting and nasal vowels, causing a high quantity of both vowels and diphthongs. Another feature is the introduction of future and imperfective verb endings.

The entirely fictional culture is thought to be settled in what is, in reality, major parts of the Ukraine. The Unkish people especially loaned words from Slavic and Turkic languages regarding wildlife and agriculture.
