[edit] [top]Overview

Syceren is an Elipo-Sucaelian language native to the western islands in Caelys. Historically it was the prestige language throughout much of the country, but in modern times its importance has lessened on account of the much more populous  Caelysi.

Syceren and Caelysi are only very distantly related, but from their close proximity they share many similarities in both phonology and grammar. They're generally not considered to be mutually intelligible though.
