Although words roots can be of different parts of speech, Proto-Cartist has used suffixes to convert one to another and form other basic words.1. Verb --> Neutral Noun: Take away the infinitve suffix and add -ëss
e.g. nearall "to speak" --> nearëss "language"
2. Verb --> Disapproving Noun: Take away the infinitive suffix and add -egat
e.g. ditsall "to want" --> ditsegat "temptation"
3. Noun --> Adjective: Add -ar
e.g. vitem "day" --> vitemar "everyday"
4. Verb --> Adjective: Take away the infinitve suffix and add -íu
e.g. sheakall "to die" --> sheakíu "dead"
5. Adjective --> Verb: Add -all (or -ll if adjective ends with an -a)
e.g. tode "worth" --> todear "expensive/worthy" (depending on context) --> todearall "to cost"
6. Adjective --> Neutral Noun: Add -icuk
e.g. jausht "sick" --> jaushticuk "sickness"
7. Verb --> Verbal Noun (Gerund): Take away the infinitive suffix and add -aim
e.g. grazall "to meet" --> grazaim "meeting"
