?FYI...
This article is a work in progress! Check back later in case any changes have occurred.

It relies on sirens having perfect pitch. While western music uses semitones, humans can detect smaller pitch intervals, and this is used in other cultures' music. Sirens could probably detect even smaller intervals, overall giving huge possibilities

Each word is a series of intervals above or below the starting note of the word, but what each word starts on is independent from other words.

If you're familiar with circular Gallifreyan, it includes notches, and as you get more skilled you can position things to make them interlock and more visually pleasing. This language would be similar, choosing how to pitch one word in relation to the others to make it more musically pleasing instead of just a collection of notes. Practice can make it more cohesive, and more song-like, be used to evoke emotion, etc.

Grammar could rely on things like length of notes and rests.

Taboo words use a large range to make them difficult to 'pronounce', and difficult to be discrete when having to switch between high and low notes in the extreme ranges.
As a result, code words and slang are often created that are easier to 'pronounce'

Switching between high and low notes might be used deliberately to gain attention, such as for speeches. The speech pattern may have a word coined from how it was derived from taboo word patterns.
