[comments] rih In Saoridhin some titles, such as "Judge" or "Mayor", are gender-neutral. Some, such as "Sir" or "Madam", are gender-specific. Other titles are more complicated.
For example, "tharëlor". This word means both "Emperor" and "Empress"; it is used for both male and female rulers of an empire. The title for the tharëlor's consort, however, changes depending on whether the consort is male or female. For a male, the title is "tharëlren". For a female, it is "tharëlnav".
The same applies to the word meaning both "king" and "queen", and the words meaning "consort of a king or queen". ✎ Edit Article ✖ Delete Article
