In this article, I will show you the 4 ways of counting different items in Qohama.

Qohama has a similar counting system to Irish, in that it has 4 different subsets: Cardinal, Ordinal, Counting Humans and Counting Non-Humans. The actual way you count (eleven vs ten and one) Will be explained after

The basic numerals from 1 to 10 are as follows:
Kwai - 1
Kai - 2
Njau - 3
Twa - 4
Aiž - 5
Souķ - 6
Kaþ - 7
Ox - 8
Ajox - 9
Trúķ - 10

For numbers such as 20 or 30, you add 2,3,4 etc to "Trúķ"
Here's 3 examples:
20 - Kaitrúķ
50 - Aižtrúķ
80 - Oxtrúķ

For numbers such as 11 or 63, you add the number in the one's place AFTER the ten. In english for example, the Qohama number 63 would be written as "Six-Ten-Three"
Here's 3 examples:
11 - Trúķ-Kwai
43 - Twatrúķ-Njau
69 - Souķtrúķ-Ajox

Now, I will explain the other 3 systems of counting in Qohama

The next system is for Ordinals, which usually have the "Ań" or "An" suffix added. It varies by the number.

1st - Kwai'ań
2nd - Kai'ań
3rd - Njauń
4th - Twań
5th - Aizań
6th - Souķ'an
7th - Kaþań
8th - Oxań
9th - Ajoxań
10th - Trúķ'an

To abbreviate (ex: 1st 2nd 3rd), You would write the suffix at the end. So 1st 2nd 3rd becomes 1ań 2ań 3ań.
For numbers larger than 10, the suffix goes on the FINAL number written. So in the number "Souķtrúķ-Ajox", the Ordinal version would be "Souķtrúķ-Ajoxań".

The two systems for counting objects are divided in two ways: Human and Non-Human. Each one has their own modification of the root number.
To count humans, the prefix "Awwa" is added in most cases. There are exceptions however.

1 - Awwakwai
2 - Awwakai
3 - Awwanjau
4 - Awwatwa
5 - Awwaiž
6 - Ausouķ
7 - Awwakaþ
8 - Awox
9 - Awajox
10 - Awwatrúķ

To count more than 10 people, add the appropriate prefix to the FIRST number listed. So for the number "Trúķ-Kwai", you would write "Awwatrúķ-Kwai".

The last system, the nonhumans, adds the "M" or "Am" suffix. The difference between the two is if the root number ends in a vowel or not. If it does, M is used. If it ends in a consonant, Am is used.

1 - Kwaim
2 - Kaim
3 - Njaum
4 - Twam
5 - Aižam
6 - Souķam
7 - Kaþam
8 - Oxam
9 - Ajoxam
10 - Trúķam

Like Ordinal, the suffix goes on the FINAL number listed. For "Kaimtrúķ-Ox", it would become "Kaimtrúķ-Oxam"
