About Ancient Altalian
This language was spoken by the tribe of Oceanites who lived in the Altalis Ocean. They were the iconoclasts: they came to believe that the traditional linguistic taboos were unnecessarily cumbersome. This resulted in a war and a schism between the Oceanites. Of the four original tribes, only two remained - the Ancient Altalian speaking Altalis Ocean clan and the 
Ancient Taleesian speaking traditionalists who lived in the Talees Ocean.
The Altalian Oceanites were curious about the world beyond the ocean. They taught some of their ways to humans, which is how
Nolwynn came to be.
Ancient Altalian is similar in many ways to Ancient Taleesian and 
Proto-Abyssal, but the linguistic taboos have lessened.
