About Unnamed
This conlang was imagined as the modern language spoken in the Barbaric Archipelago (in the language: Villimannsligur Øyjaflokkur) from the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, assuming that it would not correspond to any other archipelago of our world. The language would be spoken by all the inhabitants of the archipelago, including New Berk, the Berserk Island, Outcast Island, the Wingmaidens, the Defenders of the Wing, and all others.
Considering its general location described in the story (west of Norway), this language would derive from the Western dialect of the Old Norse language, similar to Icelandic, Faroese, and Norwegian.
Also similar to what happened with Icelandic and Faroese, the geographical isolation of the archipelago would provide few changes in relation to Old Norse, and most likely a reduced use of words borrowed from other languages.
