Cortinian was a languange spoken in the Cortinian Empire (which fell at 231 AD). At the empires fall Cortinian branched off into other languages (analogus to romance languages on Earth). Currently around 2000 creatures speak it (48% pony, 15% Hippogriff, 18% Dragon, 9% Changling, 8% Feline and 2% Griffon)
. Unlike other MLP Fanlangs, Cortinian is spoken in Ekusia, a MLP:FiM Inspired world. While other fanlangs are spoken in Equestria, the main universe for MLP:FiM
