About Costilian
Costilian (or Costeís) is a language spoken primarily in Costia and parts of western Aurelia. It's pronunciation, verb conjugation, and vocabulary are so different than Standard Aurelian that many of its speakers consider it a separate, as well as the fact that many people in the west have been oppressed and somewhat alienated from the rest of the nation. However, most Central and Southern Aurelians still consider it to be a dialect of Aurelian. In 1892, Coastia declared independence from Aurelia after a civil war and a revolt, establishing Coastilian as its national languange.
