About Classic Selúyari
Classic Selúyari is the prestige language of the subterranean civilisation of the Dracarice (as they were known when their language was a hodgepodge of Old English and Old Norse). It is used by scribes and royalty as the official method of recording history, issuing laws and so forth. It is used mainly in writing, very few can speak it fluently. The language was originally a dialect of Old Selúyari spoken in the now destroyed region of Sarimland (Old name) that retained its use due to its association with the wealth of Sarimland and of the tragedy in its destruction (and the many years of its enforcement by the rulers of Sarimland).
The flag is art done by a friend, depicting a Dracarice male. I dislike the design somewhat but the work is of such a high quality that it would be a shame if it was confined to my hard drive for eternity.
