About Dijuni
Dijuni (also known as Dijuni Arabic) is a West Semitic language spoken throughout the Balkan region of Eastern Europe. Though it has disputed origins, it is believed that during the Muslim conquest of the region in the early 7th century, many Dijuni speakers fled Syria Prima into Europe by way of Constantinople. Dijuni primarily only use the language as an argot, and it is typically learned from elders as young Dijunis come of age. This has resulted in the grammar becoming quite simplified and streamlined, resulting in more of an Arabic-derived pidgin (similar to Juba and Nubi) rather than a legitimate dialect of the language as it exists today.
