About Hamasian
My first conlang, so it's not gonna be amazin'.
Influenced/Inspired by Hawaiian, Xaracuu, Malay, Tagalog, and other Austronesian languages.
Hamasi is a language isolate, and shows ergativity through a fluid-S active/stative alignment. (If you don't know what that is, there is a great video by Artifexian that overviews ergativity in general). There's also 3 levels of evidentiality (Direct, Indirect, and Deductive).
Despite being Austronesian-inspired, Hamasi is not agglutinative (consider yourself spared) and is just inflectional.
Emotions like anger, anxiety, fearfulness, etc can be expressed with particles (similar to the greek 'untranslatable particles'. However, they are optional, and are usually left out in official writings to maintain neutrality.
There's a strict VSO Word Order, only changing to VO in imperatives.
