Language family relationships
[view] Metisce Tera (Terra Metish)Grouped under the Northern Metish branch of dialects, Southland Metish is spoken along the border of Metland and Romania. Due to its monphthongization of diphthongs, deletion of voiced fricatives, aspiration of voiceless stops and devoicing of voiced ones, loss of palatalized consonants, and loss of most allophones, large amounts of loan words from Romanian, and even borrowings of Romanian phonemes, this dialect differs substantially from Standard Metish.
