About Mixita Mixita is a language isolate found on a series of islands in the Andaman Sea. The language has remarkably easy to pronounce phonemes and a small phonemic inventory. As a consequence, the language is also consonant heavy. Some linguists have theorized potential Indo-Australian roots for the language given similar words shared with Malagasy. However, Mixita also possesses loan words from their other neighbors, including Bengali, and to a lesser extent, Burmese. As all of India, English colonization brought a large array of loanwords to the language.
