About Southern Myshyn
The Southern Myshyn language is a formalised and standardised lingua franca based on numerous South-Eastern Myshyn dialects of the Myshyn branch of the Bylkjan-tvænë language family. It a distant relative of Western Myshyn dialects, as they all descend from the classical Northern Myshyn language.
During its evolution, the southern Myshyn language developed a more complex system of determiners and relative clauses, a proper system of vowel harmony, a reduction of cases with a fine-tuning of verbal morphology. A spelling reform also took place to better match the modern pronunciations.
The majority of the vocabulary descends from Northern and South-Eastern Myshyn, but new words are also being invented, albeit slowly. I take a great deal of pride, if one can call it that, from the rich etymologies which have developed over these three years.
