About Onzi Onzí is intended to function as a fully speakable, usable language. The only possible difficulty that exists in Onzí is the fact that it has many homonyms.

Ideally, I would love to see people who need to communicate, but are perhaps in an oppressed situation be able to use Onzí to communicate. One of the important features, at least in theory, is that the lexical base could be regenerated almost immediately if necessary, using almost any language based on the latin (extended) alphabet.

In reality, Onzí is a fully pronounceable, grammatically rich code/cypher. It is this feature which would allow it to be recycled if broken.

Other miscellaneous facts... There are no double letters in Onzí. There are never two of the same syllable in succession. Vowels only exist as single letters (long and short). There are never two vowels occuring together.

Any simple use of the verb 'to be' plus an adjective also results in a verb derived from that adjective. For example, you can say in English, "The cup is green." In Onzí, using 'to be' plus the adjective, you would say, "Vo qeš í ṗo zrón." Or, without using 'to be - ṗote", you would say, "Vo qeš í zróns." The letter 'í' marks the present tense; 'ă' is the immediate past, and 'é' is the future. The verb stem itself is not conjugated by person, so the pronoun is [almost] always used. There are active and passive forms, present participle (gerund) and past participles. If either of these become nouns or adjectives, their forms add an -s to distinguish them from verbs.

In most cases, roots are modified via affixes, instead of created additional words. One example here occurs when naming animals. The root form is the male. Other affixes denote things like the female, offspring, groups, location[s] associated with the animal, flesh/hide/or other by-product, etc. Do not confuse the differentiation of male and female here with gender. There is no gender in Onzí. With animals, however, it makes sense to show a distinction.
