About Proto-Yeli-Hakkan Proto-Yeli-Hakkan is the attested mother language of the Yeli language family and the Hakkanic language family. It is presumed that PYH existed on the planet Reita prior to the arrival of the Nitali planetary colonizers.
Proto-Yeli-Hakkan, or Yli-Hatxan, came after much thought. It is attested to be the predecessor of all the languages that I have ever created, except for the Modern Batus language. It is a proto-language that gives rise to about 50% of the Hakkan lexical inventory, and about 60-75% of the lexical inventory of the Modern Yeli languages. Proto-Yeli-Hakkanic phonology is based primarily off of Turkish, Ancient Greek, and what we know of Proto-Indo-European. However, morphosyntactically speaking, it is strictly inspired off of Proto-Indo-European because words can decline through several nonstandard case endings, and conjugate through mood, person, and number. Proto Yeli-Hakkan is a stress-timed language meaning that some vowels can be elided depending on whether they are short vowels or not. It is not typically considered to be a pro-drop language, seeing as how all writing was created after the dissolution of said language.
