About Proto-Methic
Proto-Methic was spoken over 4,000 years ago in Western Soltenna. It had a very large consonant inventory as well as a small vowel inventory.
It is believed that the Methic people originated from a mixture of Original Soltennans and migrants who would later move to Boroso. The Methics first came into existence 4,000 years ago; from there, they appeared to split into two branches - one branch stayed on Soltenna whilst the other made their way onto modern-day Arawahl. The mainland branch then split again, before they were unified under the Methinakhian Empire by the Southern Methic tribes.
